Time to get back in gear!

Hello world, I am still alive. I know that I haven't been the best blogger, or YouTuber either. Man have I lacked in both those departments. I wouldn't even know where to begin telling my story since the las blog.

But I am back, and I hope to come back strong. First on the list is of course my newest little boy, who at the moment isn't so little anymore, Sebastian Antonio Millan. He was born on January 13, 2013 at 5:46 am. This kid has been like my little teddy bear, he's practically attached to my side (when grandma isn't around that is). He is now 9 and a half months and growing way too fast for my liking. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that he's wearing clothes that is 3 times his age... Yes, that would mean he's wearing 24m. Sebastian is a big boy... Both my boys were big babies.

These beautiful bundles of joy are my boys in the hospital as newborns.

The Best Gift Ever!

It’s been established possibly in other posts about the fact that i don’t get much of anything for special occasions, whether it be my birthday, Christmas, valentine’s day, our anniversary, or mother’s day (aside from my son)…. I hardly ever get any gifts from the one person you would think would buy me the world if it were possible, my husband!! Of course, like most women, let that be known… Yet men don’t get the hint. Well lately I've been taking matters into my own hands.

Here’s my story…

4 years ago, I married the love of my budding life. Bless his heart, he doesn’t know the difference between what I need and what I'm actually asking for. Like most guys it’s hard enough trying to figure out what to get their girlfriends, now marry them and it doesn’t get easier (sorry ladies)… So that takes me to our 2nd anniversary i saw that we were coming close to the date and i decided to start looking around for the perfect gift. At the time we were always using our phones to take video or pictures and had to use a little chip memory to upload them to a computer. Talk about time consuming and well down right boring. I went looking for a camera that would suit our need for good pictures and video to be able to upload with ease and be able to share with family and friends. I found a camera that i really liked the price and started asking the clerk questions about that particular camera. Little did i know that it was on sale that day and thought i am going to take it. To my surprise as well as disappointment there weren’t anymore of that particular model. It was on sale because they were about to get new shipment soon. The store clerk then noted that because they were all out that the display model is up for grabs at a cheaper price than the already discounted sale price. I said it’s my lucky day!! So i bought it, couldn’t help it and had to show my husband, mind you it wasn’t our anniversary yet. My story to him is that i bought an anniversary gift that i couldn’t wait to give him. He was excited and liked the fact that i got it for a great deal.

After that day, that camera became more and more mine than his. Little by little i would use it for everything from taking pictures of our son, to making my YouTube videos… Call me sneaky but that’s technically why i found the camera in the first place. Now that camera never leaves my sight and lives in my purse when I'm not using it.

The year after that i thought of another big gift that to me i had to have and also felt like i deserved it. I found a notebook laptop for a great price and made the decision to get it for myself with no shame and little remorse at the time. It’s what i’m currently typing on as i’m writing this blog. When i went to buy the laptop i hadn’t told my husband at that time. But as soon as i got it i had to show him and let him know that i did get it for myself, but he was definitely entitled to use it because i bought it with his hard earned money.

Which brings me to this year and back in March, the month of our anniversary, i again didn’t get anything to celebrate the day but at that point i was over getting upset about it and let it go. Now, our anniversary is on the 14th… And I've been hinting about getting a tablet or other big electronic that i would use for my businesses and as a go-to kid calmer.. lol! My hubby felt bad and mentioned to me that once we were able to afford more he would definitely go out and get me what i wanted. Little did i know that he was already planning on taking me to the store to pick out my new ipad (the new iPad). A week passed and i found out that the new iPad was being launched that month and nearly a week before in stores. My husband surprised me one day with telling me get ready we’re going out. I’m in shock because he never really tells me be ready. I got ready in seconds!!! As we’re arriving in town, he asks me “which store has it”. I instantly knew what he wanted to get me. So we went to the nearest store to look for my new ipad, no luck. Checked several stores, nothing! I was devastated… But my hubby reassured me that i was going to get it, i just needed to be patient. (something i lack very much) That’s when i thought why not try ordering online… It wasn’t 10 minutes and i was on the apple website making my ipad and placing the order… I Ordered the new iPad in white! Not only is it the new one, my hubby let me get the 32GB!!! Oh the joy and excitement that filled my heart and the car!!! All it was going to take was 2 weeks delivery…. Really?! I still had to wait to get it.

So 2 weeks later and still waiting…I was super excited Friday night because i had gotten an email saying that by the end of the day i was going to get my package!! No dice and super tense and bummed out.. Apparently the delivery service had mistakenly sent out the wrong date of arrival! I was furious because my iPad won’t make it until the following week.. So it is now about 3 weeks of waiting and it’s Tuesday. I’m literally counting down the hours, on the edge of my couch, until i hear the doorbell ring for my ipad to be handed to me at the door. Today is the day my digital life will become more advanced!!! Of course you can’t rule out the apps. Oh the apps i have stock piled into my computer waiting to be uploaded to that brand new tablet. I just hope it gets here soon before i pull out all of my hair!!!!!
